“Street art is nothing else but urban poetry that catches someone’s eye. Being a street artist is impossible because of the city itself is the artist. Street art is a collective thing, participative and interactive, extremely linked to web 2.0 culture. “
We must begin to understand that we must contribute to our immediate environment not as a punishment, but as an obligation. We can channel our knowledge in more accurate and concrete ways to projects like this, Jodhpur as a beautiful ancient city that has so much to contribute to its neighborhoods, and that is seriously abandoned in the hands of politicians whose propose solutions that do not transcend the strengthening of the social fabric and take care of the socio-environmental and cultural surroundings.
This project seeks to shake the population, to remind them of the history that this city has. We seek to raise the standard of living of communities through a beautification of our public walls with aesthetics that speak of our new message: full spirituality, social justice and sustainable environment.
What I have to do to participate?
Register in THIS LINK. Grow Sansthan will provide some paints and brushes, but we recommend you to bring your own paints and colors to express what you have in mind. Grow Sansthan will provide face masks in case you need them.
Can I paint whatever I want?
Yes, as long as it is related to the cultural heritage of Jodhpur and/or the environment. Each painting should carry a phrase that inspires to take actions, such as poetry, inspirational quotes or a short phrase that invites to become aware of the change.
